After School Sports and Clubs Program in Surprise AZ

Calibre Academy thrives on accepting each student as a unique individual and gives several opportunities, in addition to academics, to develop the whole person. Through our sports and clubs, Calibre Academy provides a variety of different avenues to increase student’s confidence, encourage character development, instill a desire to be a lifelong learner and to become a contributing member of society.

Sports and Clubs

Lil Colts Sports Program

Calibre Academy was the first charter school in Surprise to offer sports for students in pre-k to 4th grade. Lil Colts is an intramural program that combines skill and games with students attending the same school. The sports offered are: flag football, T-ball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading. This program is run by the athletic director with the help of parent volunteers. The goal of this program is to introduce students to each sport and build skills so they are ready to join our competitive sports programs when they are older. Calibre Academy has seen a lot of success with this program.

Mustang Sports

The Calibre Academy Mustang Sports program is a year-round program catering to our 5th through 8th Grade students. The sports program includes: Flag Football, Cheer, Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Boys Basketball, Girls Softball, Co-Ed Soccer & Girls Basketball.

Participation in athletics provides many opportunities for young men and women to develop emotionally, morally and physically. Athletes are students first and athletes second. By being involved in our programs, parents and students create life long friendships with classmates, as well as our staff, that can last long after the children graduate from our school.
