Wendy Ramirez

Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome you and your child to this year’s Spanish class!  Hope you all had a great and restful summer.  My name is Wendy Ramirez and I will be your child’s Spanish teacher this school year.  This is my eighth year working with Calibre Academy. I’ve been teaching Spanish here for the last five years and have had a blast doing so! For those of you that are new to our campus this year, let me tell you a few things about myself. I was born in the beautiful country of Honduras.  I have been living in the United States since I was three years old.  Before moving to Arizona I lived in California.  I am a proud graduate of California State University, Fullerton.  I have lived in Arizona for 12 years with my lovely 17 year old daughter Bernadette.

I am ecstatic to be teaching Spanish again this year.  Your son/daughter is about to begin an exciting and valuable experience.  Learning a second language can be both exciting and fun.  As your child studies Spanish, he or she will not only learn to communicate with Spanish speakers, but will also learn about their cultures and daily lives.  Language learning is a building process that requires considerable time and practice, but it is one of the most rewarding things your child can learn in school.

We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us! I look forward to getting to know you and your student throughout the upcoming year and thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate in contacting me directly via e-mail wendy.ramirez@learningmatters.org
Sincerely,

Wendy Ramirez
